A Harlingen man is behind bars after he allegedly drugged a teenage girl, beat her and then turned around and prostituted her.
Harlingen police arrested 33-year-old Randolph McKinley Chamblee on multiple criminal charges over the weekend.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the incident happened back in September but officers tracked down Chamblee on Friday.
The girl told police that Chamblee picked her up at Gutierrez Park in downtown Harlingen back on September 21st.
Chamblee is accused of taking the girl to a hotel where he drugged her, beat her and sold her to a man for sexual intercourse.
The girl made an outcry while in custody at the Darrell B. Hester Juvenile Justice Center in San Benito.
Detectives tracked Chamblee down to the Palace Inn off North 77 Sunshine Strip where authorities allegedly found crack, marijuana and xanax in his room and more crack in his car.
Chamblee is facing compelling prostitution and four drug charges.
The Harlingen man appeared before a municipal judge over the weekend where he was issued $639,000 dollars in bonds.
Investigators said detectives identified the man who paid to have sex with the teenage girl as 34-year-old Harlingen resident Carlos Freddy Perez.
Anyone with information of Perez’s whereabouts is asked to call (956) 425-TIPS or (956) 425-8477.
