Edinburg man charged with girlfriend's death following DWI wreck

A Edinburg man is behind bars after causing Friday DWI wreck where his girlfriend lost her life.

Pharr police arrested Ricardo Garcia on an intoxication manslaughter charge over the weekend.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Gracia crashed his car on the U.S. Highway 281 near Eldora Road.

Police said is girlfriend was ejected from the car.

Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Garcia appeared before a Pharr municipal judge over the weekend where he was issued a $75,000 bond.
