South Texas Academic Rising Scholars (STARS) scholarship applications are now available.
Last year, STARS received over 6,000 applications and gave out over $1 million dollars in scholarship money.
Tony Forina, executive director of STARS, told Action 4 News this is just another way to make sure kids get a chance at a higher education.
“A better educated society makes for a better society,” Forina told Action 4 News. “We want to do our part and help these students achieve their dreams of higher education.”
