Nothing says the holidays like rodents and roaches!
A Raymondville Chinese restaurant called China Star along Highway 77 was busted with “fresh” rodent droppings in the kitchen.
An inspector found more than a dozen contaminated areas including an open top freezer, according to state documents.
In Brownsville, roaches, both dead and alive, turned up inside an unlikely spot—a nursing home!
Brownsville Nursing and Rehab on Lorenaly Drive scored 22 demerits on an initial health report.
An inspector took more than a dozen photos that exposed dirty kitchen conditions.
The list of violations included: expired bread, cross contamination of foods, moldy and dirty areas along with insect contamination.
