Magic Valley Electric is planning a power outage this weekend to make major improvements to their delivery system.

Power will be temporarily disconnected from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

Approximately 4,000 homes and businesses are expected to be without electricity for about five hours in the North Edinburg/Lynn-San Manuel area.

The scheduled power outage will enable MVEC to make system improvements resulting in safer, more reliable electric service.

MVEC urges any consumer affected by the outage who has someone in their home on life-sustaining medical equipment or who would be endangered by a power outage to explore alternate arrangements that can be made in advance of the planned outage.
