Two men are behind bars for ambulance chasing in a string of incidents where and one of them pretended to be a lawyer.
Brownsville police arrested 29-year-old Miguel Angel Contreras and 37-year-old Rene Gabriel Hinojosa on multiple charges on Wednesday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the two men solicited accident victims.
Police said that the two tried to convince accident victims to sign with Hinojosa, who had contracts and was pretending to be a lawyer.
Records show that Contreras is facing three counts of barratry.
Hinojosa is facing six counts of barratry and six counts of falsely holding one-self out as a lawyer.
Investigators believe there may be more victims.
