A taste of Old Man Winter hit the Rio Grande Valley on Cyber Monday.

Temperatures fell to thirties for most of the Valley with areas like Falcon Dam and Lasara both bottoming out in the mid twenties.

Drier air from Saturday’s cold front, combined with light winds and clear skies Sunday night allowed for the extra cool down.

A freeze warning for Jim Hogg, Brooks, and Kennedy county lifted at 8:00 a.m. Monday.

Another cold front arrives Tuesday night, bringing a 10 degree drop in temperatures by Wednesday.
