Royal Freight just rolled in over a hundred new 18 wheelers and they need drivers to move them.
Chief Financial Officer David Girault says his company is joining the job fair on November 8th to get more applicants to fill positions for the Pharr location which will run shipments across the country.
"Drivers go through 48 states and into Canada," said Girault.
Royal Freight is offering good compensation for drivers who qualify to work for the largest privately owned trucking company in South Texas.
Girault says they won't only be helping themselves deal with a large workload, but will help in making a dent in the Valley's unemployment rate.
"We just need to get them in the door."
Truck drivers can spend a lot of time on the road and away from their families, but Girault says it's a stable job which many people are praying for these days.
You must be at least 25 years old to apply, have a commercial driver’s license and have 2 years driving experience.
There are also other positions available with the Royal Freight Company.
They are one of over 80 employers who will be accepting
