Heartbreaking and scary are the words Matthew Bolin uses to describe his experience purchasing his new dream home from Joleigh Ares, owner of The Park Girl Mobile Home Sales in La Feria.
Bolin says he never thought he would see the home his wife personally designed for him and his three daughters to live in
"Me and my wife went there on numerous occasions to ask her where is our home,” said Bolin. “I'm pushing deadlines from my apartment and (Joleigh) would say Oh it's coming.
Standing outside the three bedroom house he bought from Ares, Bolin says the day he finally saw his home was more than six months after from the promised date.
But he says the problems didn't stop there
Bolin claims Ares kept increasing the deposit price before delivering the home to him.
Once it was finally delivered, he says moving company never tied his home down. They just left it on the floor.
Bolin also said the unit came without a skirt, has cracks on the siding, the water pressure is low on one end of the home and there is no electricity on the right side of the unit.
"So I keep calling,” said Bolin. “I have her cell phone. Joleigh's cell phone. She’s not answering which doesn't surprise me.”
Bolin is now worried that his family only has a few more months to live in the house he wanted to own for years to come.
He says he's not sure who to make mortgage payments too and if his home is actually getting paid for.
The La Feria Police Department is now looking for the owner of The Park Girl.
They have issued several felony arrest warrants for Jo Leigh Ares.
The Cameron County Precinct 7 Constable also issued three arrest warrants of their own.
