One of two suspects is behind bars after they allegedly robbed a gentlemen’s club employee at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.
Mission police told Action 4 News the waitress was coming home from a late night at work when the suspect attacked her in her driveway.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the victim worked at a local gentlemen’s club and left work around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said Jesus Eduardo Peña attacked her in her driveway.
Investigators believe Peña was at the same club as the victim, watched her leave and followed her to her home.
They said when the victim stepped out of her car, Peña pointed a pistol at her head and demanded her purse.
Mission Police Department Sgt. Jody Tittle said this incident was not a random act of violence---
"He staked out the person, followed her all the way home hoping that she would have some cash in tips,” Sgt. Tittle said.
Officers arrested Peña a few hours later and recovered the weapon he used, which they say was fake.
Police also recovered the victim's purse.
Mission police said they're still looking for another person allegedly involved.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Mission Crime Stoppers at (956) 581-TIPS.
