Authorities have identified seven suspects arrested and charged with a double kidnapping in Rio Grande City.

Starr County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested the seven suspects in the Las Lomas area late Tuesday afternoon.

The seven are accused of participating in the knifepoint kidnapping of two men in Rio Grande City.

The seven suspects were identified as:

• Jonathan Jordan Bazan
• Juan Camacho-Hernandez
• Israel Hernandez-Rodriguez
• Alberto Segundo-Santos
• Omar Fernando Landeros-Ramirez
• Maria Arellano
• Aracely Garcia

All seven are charged with aggravated kidnapping and remain in custody at the Starr County Jail under $100,000 dollar bonds.

Investigators told Action 4 News that one of the kidnapping victims was rescued off Las Lomas Street where he used a grocery store payphone.

Deputies reported that victim Roberto Martinez-Ramirez is still missing.

Authorities believe the double kidnappings were drug-related.

Investigators told Action 4 News that while there have been a few kidnappings in Starr County this year, it's not something residents should be concerned about.

They said the kidnappings are usually related to illegal activity.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Starr County Sheriff's Office at (956)-487-5571.
