More than 119 pounds of marijuana are off the streets after a car chase where Brownsville police arrested a 19-year-old man.
It all started off Price Road and Coveway Drive late Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that a K-9 officer saw 19-year-old Gerardo Mayorga almost cause an accident by driving on the wrong side of the road.
The K-9 officer tried to pull over Mayorga for the traffic violation but the teen led police on a chase that ended off Robindale Drive and FM 802.
Mayorga bailed out but was caught. Officers found he had a small amount of cocaine on him.
Police found five bundles with 112.4 pounds of marijuana worth more than $45,000 dollars inside his car.
Authorities found another 150.3 bundles at a home off Epi Street.
Mayorga appeared before a Brownsville municipal judge on marijuana, controlled substance, evading arrest with a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.
Bond information was not immediately available.
