A woman was rescued from her flipped over car by a group of Good Samaritans in Harlingen Monday morning.

The accident happened near the intersection of East Tyler Avenue and North 5th street around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Witnesses say they heard a loud boom from outside their office building.

Several City of Harlingen employees ran out into the street to help the woman trapped inside of her Chrysler Sebring.

"I was pushing on the rear window. That was my spot. I was trying to push it over. My hands kept slipping. A lot of people just rushed to help out and we got the car turned over," said Val Garcia.

Witnesses said it looks like the woman hit a pickup parked on the side of the road.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Action 4 News is still waiting to get more information from police.
