Authorities temporarily shut down part of the Expressway 83 frontage road in San Juan after an auto accident involving a tanker truck.

It all happened outside the H-E-B Plus off I Road and Expressway 83 shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told Action 4 News that a car hit a semi-truck hauling a gasoline tanker leaving the grocery store’s gas station.

The fuel did not spill but authorities temporarily shut down the frontage road as a precaution.

Action 4 News will post more information as it becomes available.
