The hackers group 'Anonymous' has vowed revenge for threats and three recent murders targeting social media users in Nuevo Laredo.

Members of the group posted a message to their Twitter account @AnonymousIRC late Monday.

"Hello Mexican drug cartels," the message said. "We do not forget."

Over the past two weeks, three people have been killed in Nuevo Laredo where the Zetas drug cartel allegedly left messages warning others not to use blogs or social media to report about drug cartels.

The hackers group posted a link  on their Twitter post to an article about a cyber attack on the Veracruz state government's website.

According to the article, Anonymous targeted the Veracruz website due to the governor's alleged ties with the Zetas.
