Authorities confirm the death of a three-year-old Los Fresnos girl in a Sunday morning wreck on FM 803, near Highway 100.
Trooper Johnny Hernandez, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said it was about 9:30 a.m. when the toddler's mother lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a utility pole.
Hernandez said preliminary investigations show three-year-old Vianney Alvarado was in a car seat, however, it's unclear if she was secured properly.
The mother and 18-year-old sister were rushed to Valley Regional Medical Center.
