Police in Rio Grande City used a taser Friday night against a man they said hurt an officer.

An Action 4 News viewer shot video showing 25-year-old Javier Gonzalez of Roma pinned to the ground in front of a Walmart.

When police discovered Gonzalez had four warrants for credit card abuse, they tried arresting him.

That's when Gonzalez reportedly took off running after elbowing an officer in the chin.

Gonzalez is now charged with evading and resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer causing bodily injury as well as credit card abuse.
