Missing Brownsville teen found dead

Two people are being detained after the search for Brownsville teen Jose Araujo ended in tragedy.

Family members tell Action 4 News he was found dead Sunday night in a brushy area near his home.

Araujo's brother reportedly made the discovery.

Brownsville police said Araujo's body was found in a wooded area behind the Los Cedros Apartments and a car dealership off Wild Rose Lane.

Authorities are continuing to investigate how Araujo died.

Investigators told Action 4 News that two people have been detained in connection to Araujo's death.

Action 4 News is working to gather more details on the 17-year-old’s death.
