A Santa Rosa man is behind bars after leading police on a chase where he managed to escape but was later found at home.
Santa Rosa police have arrested 29-year-old Jose Damian Rubio on multiple criminal charges.
Investigators told Action 4 News that an officer was sent to a Stripes store off Highway 107 and 6th Street around 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
Rubio was allegedly behind the wheel of a white Ford F-150 and driving recklessly.
The Santa Rosa man allegedly led police on a chase that ended with him crashing his truck into a vacant home of 4th Street.
Rubio escaped after fleeing on foot but police later found him at his North Kansas City Road home.
Police charged Rubio with reckless driving, evading arrest by vehicle, evading arrest by foot and duty on striking fixture.
He remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail.
