White House officials are looking for the American public's feedback.

They've announced a new online feature that allows you to create and sign petitions.

Any petition that gets enough signatures, will be reviewed by White House staffers.

White House staff will send the petition to the appropriate policy experts and issue an official response.

In order to get a petition recognized, users will need 5,000 signatures within 30 days.

The public will be able to submit petitions later this month at www.whitehouse.gov where users can create an account.
