Mexican extradited in murders of U.S. Consulate workers

The Mexican government announced they have extradited Miguel Ángel Nevarez or “Lentes” to the United States. 

Nevarez is accused of taking part in the murders of three people in Ciudad Juarez back on March 13, 2010.

The victims were a pregnant U.S. consulate worker, her husband and the husband of another U.S. consulate worker.

Miguel Ángel Nevarez Escajeda is also known as "94."

Mexican authorities detained Nevarez in Veracruz, Mexico on August 25th.

Nevarez was handed over to the FBI at an airport in Veracruz, Mexico.
