Two women are behind bars after attacking a mother and her two children outside their Southmost home.
It all happened on the 1100 block of Morningside Road around 3 p.m. Thursday.
Brownsville police arrested 26-year-old Ana Aguilar and 24-year-old Elizbeth Aguilar during the incident.
Investigators told Action 4 News that 29-year-old woman was attack by the two sisters when she left her apartment.
The woman’s 15-year-old and 11-year-old children stepped in to help their mother but got attacked as well.
Police said Ana Aguilar pulled the 15-year-old child towards their car while Elizabeth Aguilar stepped on the gas.
The teen was dragged by the car and had to be taken to a the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville for treatment.
Police officers arrested the two woman at a convenience store off the 3300 block of Southmost Road.
A judge issued Elizabeth Aguilar $12,500 dollars in bonds for an aggravated assault with a motor vehicle charge.
Ana Aguilar received $9,600 dollars in bonds for assault and injury to a child charge.
