Contstruction off Nolana Avenue and Bicentennial Avenue continues to tie up traffic in McAllen.

But city officials told Action 4 News it's only temporary.

Authorities are extending Bicentennial Boulevard beyond Nolana and are working to improve the intersection.

Officials said the Nolana Avenue bridge will be closed through Friday.

Although construction on the project will continue, traffic will be able travel on Nolana Avenue after Friday.
