A former dispatcher found himself on the other side of the law after being accused of sexually harassing a female through text messages, Facebook posts and more.

Cameron County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested 24-year-old Emmanuel Vazquez on a harassment charge back in April.

The arrest was not publicized but court records obtained by Action 4 News show that Vazquez worked the graveyard shift as a dispatcher for the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the documents, Vazquez touched, tried to massage and made unwanted advances towards a female co-worker starting back in January.

The records show that that Vazquez sat near her and would also send her text messages telling her that she was “pretty” and  even, “Let me hit that.”

Vazquez allegedly sent at least 20 text messages a day to the woman.

The woman told deputies that Vazquez would also post messages on the wall of her Facebook page.

At one point, Vazquez allegedly told his co-worker that his wife wanted a divorce and then asked her, “Now do you want to sleep with me?”

Authorities filed an arrest warrant against Vazquez back on April 14th.

The 24-year-old former dispatcher appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Luis Saenz the next day and was released after posting a $5,000 dollar bond.

No court dates have been set for Vazquez but Chief Deputy Gus Reyna told Action 4 News that Vazquez is no longer employed with the sheriff’s department.
