Authorities are working to identify a body discovered at a construction site in Hidalgo early Tuesday afternoon.

It all happened at a construction off South Jackson and Dicker Roads late Tuesday morning.

Hidalgo police told Action 4 News that the body was that of a man and that it was discovered nude.

Investigators said the was that of a light-complected, bearded male with curly brown hair believed to be in his mid-30s.

The man's body did not have any tattoos or markings.

Authorities ordered an autopsy to learn the man's identity and cause of death.

Investigators said they are hoping fingerprints will reveal the man's identity.

Action 4 News will post more information as it becomes available.
