A Brownsville man and woman are facing criminal charges after taking two children along for a ride during a mini-crime spree.
Brownsville police arrested 22-year-old Lydia Gay and 37-year-old Agustin Castillo on auto burglary and child endangerment charges.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the two shattered the window of a car parked outside the Texas Roadhouse restaurant to steal a purse.
Police said the pair then went to a nearby gas station and started charging on a stolen credit card.
Officers were arresting the two when they saw Gay’s two children in the backseat of the pair’s car.
