Autopsy results released on Tuesday show a Brownsville teen broke his neck before drowning in a children's swimming pool.

Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio released the results of the autopsy for 13-year-old Izik Rodriguez during a press conference on Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Lucio said the Brownsville drowned in an inflatable pool after breaking his neck by diving into the pool.

The fatal accident happened at a home belonging to Rodriguez's aunt off Tallowood Circle in Brownsville Friday afternoon.

Family members said they found Rodriguez unconscious adding that he suffered from depression and Attention Deficit Disorder.
