Upper Valley restaurants outshine the rest, as a slew of top performers prove they're "keeping it clean!"

McDonald's on 824 West Business 83 in San Juan scored zero demerits on a health inspection report.

Two others were featured by the Food Patrol for their repeat sticker winning performance in back-to-back years.

The manager at Subway, Mingo Gracia, on 730 East Expressway 83 in La Joya said the restaurants newest top performer sticker tells the public what they don't have in the kitchen

"Flies or roaches and stuff like that," Gracia said.

Taqueria El Zarape on 1207 East University Drive in Edinburg also earned another top performer sticker.

Yolanda Mata said her staff makes sure the kitchen is as clean as the food is tasty.

"It feels good cause we really did work hard to earn it," the manager said.

But there was one kitchen in San Juan not performing up to standards as a low performer.
