Four Reynosa police officers have been formally charged in a kidnapping and organized crime case.
Federal police officers arrested the four city cops at the Reynosa Police Department back on April 25th.
Mexico's Attorney General's Office (PGR) reported that the four Reynosa officers were formally charged on Friday.
Three male officers and one female officers were charged with kidnapping and organized crime charges.
The four have been linked to the kidnapping of 68 immigrants who were later rescued by federal police.
PGR Officials said the officers Heriberto Hernandez-Oliva, Baudel Acosta-Bonilla and Jose Nieves Aguiñaga-Morales will remain in custody for another 40 days while the investigation continues.
Officer Flavia Elena Cabrera-De la Cruz is to remain in custody for 20 more days.
