Brownsville police arrest eight minors for drinking, marijuana

Their party got interrumpted by Brownsville police.

Seven teens and a 20-year-old man are facing criminal charges after being arrested at a party where they were allegedly caught drinkg underage and smoking marijuana.

Brownsville police said it all happened on Calle Condesa around 1:39 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said officers were called to a home for a possible burglary.

Officers heard loud music coming from a storage room and found eight young people drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.

One of the teens tried to close the door on the officer but all of them were arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol and marijuana.

Investigators said one 16-year-old boy was detained and the following seven minors were arrested:

• Rolando Rangel, 18
• Rigoberto Garces, 18
• Luis Arturo Del Toro, 18
• Luis Alberto Sifuentes, 20
• Martin Moises Ramos, 17
• Omar Armando Borde, 18
• Omar Salvador Soto, 18

Then seven minors each appeared before a Brownsville municipal judge early Thursday morning where their bonds were set at $2,000 dollars each.
