An important lesson for high school students at PSJA Memorial this one about the dangers of drinking and driving as they begin their Spring Break.

It's a day Christina and Elidia Sanchez cannot forget.

"The worst words ever when he said that she didn't make it," said Elidia.

Jessica Sanchez was killed by a drunk driver almost six years ago, and now joined by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Alamo police, TXDOT, DPS, and PSJA Memorial's DECA club, they are spreading the message to students to keep from driving drunk.

"It's something that we cannot stress enough. We want you to have a safe spring break we don't want any fatalities," said State Trooper Johnny Hernandez.

DPS said state troopers are already on the streets enforcing the law and making sure they inform drivers about drunk driving to hopefully prevent a tragedy.
