Most of the cars in the Rio Grande Valley are covered in a layer of ice, just like everything else around here.

So how do you get rid of it safely?

First thing, never pour hot water on the window, that will only cause the windshield to crack.

Second, turn your car on and turn the defroster to medium.

Wait about 10-15 minutes and then use a credit card or an ice scrapper to clear your window.

Once you have done this you can safely head out to work.
