Brownsville police report that a child rape suspect met a teenage girl while she was at a local nightclub with her mother.
Police officers arrested 21-year-old Samuel Hernandez on a sexual assault charge on Wednesday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the 16-year-old victim in the case made an outcry to her mother.
The girl told police that she met Hernandez while she was with her mother at Club Chaparral off U.S. Expressway 77/83 back in November.
Police said Hernandez began sending text message to the girl after they met that night.
Hernandez appeared before a Brownsville municipal court judge on Thursday morning where he was issued a $100,000 dollar bond.
