An elderly man lost his life, after his home goes up in flames.
It happened early Sunday morning, just south of the Brownsville/South Padre International Airport.
The Brownsville assistant fire chief tells Action 4 News they responded to the call around 7 in the morning.
It happened on the 6000 block of Dockberry Road, just outside the Brownsville city limits.
The victim’s identity has not been released as they notify the next of kin.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
Because it happened outside city limits, the county fire marshal will be investigating the case.
