Traffic was temporarily halted at the Progreso International Bridge after a Thursday morning bomb threat.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) spokesman Eddie Perez reported the bomb threat was phoned in at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
Perez said the threat was called into the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities temporarily redirected traffic to other international bridges.
Perez said an all-clear sign was given at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
The international bridge is now open again with traffic headed in both direction.
An investigation will continue into who made the bomb threat.
