Sullivan City chase yields marijuana bundles

Hundreds of pounds of marijuana off the streets following a Tuesday evening chase in Sullivan City.

Police told Action 4 News that it all took place on El Faro Road Tuesday evening.

An officer tried to make a traffic stop on a car with a defective tail light but the driver sped off.

Investigators said the driver lead police on a mile-and-a-half chase down El Faro Road and onto a dirt road.

The driver bailed out of the car and into the brush leaving about 38 bundles with 370.5 pounds of marijuana behind in his car.

Public records show that that the car 2010 Toyota Yaris is registered to a couple that lives off Amarillo Street in Sullivan City.
