Game Stop robbery suspect caught on tape in Weslaco

Authorities are looking for a man who was caught on surveillance cameras robbing a video game store at knifepoint in Weslaco.

Investigators with the Weslaco Police Department told Action 4 News that it all happened at the Game Stop off Expressway 83 around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees said a man walked into the store and picked out two games but displayed a knife at the cash register and demanded money.

The man fled the scene but Weslaco police said surveillance cameras captured his image on tape.

The suspect is described is Hispanic male in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a slim build, short black hair, a moustache and goatee.

He wore a maroon or red shirt, blue jeans, ball cap, and white shoes.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Weslaco Crime Stoppers at (956 968-TIPS or (956) 968-8477.
