Car bomb explodes outside police station in Monterrey suburb

Two people are injured after a car bomb exploded outside the police station of a Monterrey suburb.

The El Milenio newspaper reported that it all happened in the suburb of Zuazua around early Friday afternoon.

El Milenio reported that two civilians were injured in the explosion and three cars and a motorcycle were also damaged.

A police spokesperson told El Milenio of the state police confirmed the explosion and said it happened at about 1 p.m. Friday.

The spokesperson said the injuries were minor and that they have launched an investigation.
