With food donations pouring in, volunteers are needed here at the Rio Grande Valley food bank.
The food and fund drive manager says 1 hour of volunteer work can feed 105 people, but if you can't squeeze in time to volunteer, another option could be squeezing a dollar or two from your wallet.
Food and fund drive manager Carter Robinson said monetary donations are also needed, and you'd be surprised to know how far just five dollars can go.
"For five dollars we can feed 25 kids a healthy balanced meal or I can distribute 50 pounds of food just for five dollars," said Robinson.
