Two young men remain behind bars after they arrested for their roles in a Thanksgiving Day driveby shooting in Harlingen.

Harlingen police arrested 23-year-old Juan Alberto Torres and 17-year-old Rolando Garza on multiple charges on Thanksgiving Day.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the two were inside a Ford Taurus involved in a driveby shooting off East Flynn Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses told police that four men were inside the Taurus when shots were fired at the northside house. Nobody was injured but two bullets hit a car.

A motive was not released but police officers reported finding the vehicle and the two men off North A Street a couple of hours after the shooting.

Police told Action 4 News that they caught Torres and Garza after a brief foot chase.

Both men were charged with deadly conduct, evading arrest and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Officers also charged Garza with possession of marijuana after they allegedly discovered he had some on him while being booked.

As of Monday morning, the two men remained in custody at the Cameron County Jail.

Torres has $84,500 dollars in bonds while Garza has $85,500 dollars in bonds.

Jail records show that Torres has a Border Patrol detainer suggesting he may be an illegal immigrant.
