It’s a story that had many we're emailing us with questions from people wanting to know if taxpayer money was used for this week's Democratic rally.

We did some investigation and what we found out, might surprise you.

A youtube video that surfaced earlier this week shows what appears to be several city trucks and Brownsville school district vehicles hauling supplies prepping for former President Clintons big visit to the valley.

Several city trucks and Brownsville school district vehicles hauling supplies where prepping for former President Clinton’s big visit to the valley.

We spoke to city manager Charlie Cabler about the issue, and he said the Ortiz campaign was billed for some of the expenses.

Cabler says he doesn't understand why there is such a fuss, having the President come to the valley should be an honor.

Cabler told us that they sent a bill to the Ortiz campaign for the services that were used.

He also told us that there were some city crews that were there but were not being used.

We asked him if tax payers paid for those crew members and Cabler couldn't give us an answer.

Cabler did want to make it clear that taxpayers did in fact pay for the law enforcement and for security
