Tomas Herrera has not been seen or heard from since his disappearance in early September.

His daughter-in-law, Sonia Herrera, said the family has inquired about holding a funeral for him.

But because a body hasn't surfaced in the case, they'll have to wait six months.

Herrera was the focus of a Silver Alert earlier in the month.

The 78-year-old man disappeared following a doctor's appointment.

He suffers from a number of medical complications including early signs of dementia.

There is an open missing person’s case out of the City of Primera.

Anyone with information should call the police department at 956-423-7119.
