Tropical Storm Hermine rained on the parade for Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen this week.
The Pharr restaurant was scheduled for its grand opening in Tuesday morning but Hermine made a mess of those plans.
With the tropical storm out of the way, company officials now tell Action 4 News that the restaurant is scheduled for its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Although the ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Friday, the restaurant will actually be open for business at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is owned and operated by Pappas Restaurants of Houston.
It's the first restaurant for the company in the Rio Grande Valley.
