A Chinese buffet in McAllen, notorious for dirty dining over the last year, was slapped with the highest fine in Food 4 Thought’s 6 year history.

Sun Palace on 6013 North 10th Street was ordered to pay $1,000 for two major health code violations.

McAllen health inspectors cited the restaurant for unsound condition of potentially hazardous foods and for unsanitary restaurant condition during a surprise court-ordered random monthly inspection.

But that’s not the only dirt the Food Patrol’s dug up this week.
