A Food Patrol fan in Brownsville keeps close tabs on which restaurants featured on Food 4 Thought have roaches.
Rick Olivas said bugs are of particular importance to him because he owns and operates a local pest control company.
While some may see this as a form of ambulance-chasing, Olivas said he contacts low performers to protect the public while helping restaurants "'keep it clean'".
This week he could find two potential leads.
That's because health inspectors found live roaches in two different restaurants.
Roli's Restaurant on 540 East 12th Street in Brownsville is one of them with 22 demerits.
The Corner Food Store on 1705 North 77 Sunshine Strip in Harlingen is the other with 24 demerits.
