Experts monitoring low pressure in Caribbean Sea

The 24/7 Weather Center is monitoring a low pressure area that’s between the Northeast coast of Honduras and Grand Cayman.

The area continues to show signs of organization, and there is a 70 percent chance of it becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.

If the low pressure area makes its way towards the Gulf of Mexico, it will increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms in South Texas by Wednesday.
