SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- An 18-year-old convicted burglar is back in custody after a short-lived jail escape.
Jail officials say Joshua Aguilera escaped from the Dominguez State Jail on Thursday afternoon by climbing a pole and jumping over a 10-foot-tall razor-wire-topped fence.
The Hidalgo County teen was recaptured at an acquaintance's home early Friday a few miles from the San Antonio jail.
Aguilera had just arrived at the jail on Wednesday to serve time on a pair of burglary convictions in the Rio Grande Valley.
