Many across the Valley stopped to pay their respects to the family of Lance Corporal Derek Hernandez.
Monday night a special rosary will be held for th 20-year-old in Edinburg.
The body of Hernandez arrived Sunday afternoon.
From there, his remains were transported to Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg where the rosary will take place.
Today a steady flow of people stopped by to pay their respects to the fallen Marine.
Hernandez was killed in the Hemland province of Afghanistan on June 6.
Family members said Hernandez was a brave and outstanding person who came from a long line of military service in their family.
Viewing for Lance Corporal Hernandez continues tonight until 9 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home at 208 Canton in Edinburg.
