A Harlingen teenager is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a Good Samaritan at knifepoint.
Harlingen police arrested 17-year-old Ethan David Aparicio under an aggravated assault charge late Sunday night.
Investigators told Action 4 News that it happened near East Madison Avenue and North 3rd Street around 11 p.m. Sunday.
The Good Samaritan told police that he saw Aparicio attacking a female and intervened.
The female fled the scene but Apracio allegedly turned his attention on the man who was trying to help.
Aparicio allegedly entered the man's house with a knife and tried to stab him.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested Aparicio neary.
Investigators were able to find the knife near Aparicio's house.
The teen aggravated assault suspect appeared before Harlingen Municipal Judge Robert Guerra on Monday morning.
Judge Guerra gave Aparicio a $20,000 dollar bond.
