One man is dead while a woman is clinging to life following a shooting just west of the rural Hidalgo County community of Hargill.
Authorities received a call about a woman was found laying on the ground with several gunshot wounds shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.
Details were not immediately available but Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies and gang unit are searching the area for the suspects.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where she is batling for her life.
A man was also shot and found nearby.
Investigators said the man died from gunshot wounds.
